Tips for daily use of your natural stone product:
The best daily maintenance for a bluestone sink is to ensure it is clean and dry when not in use, especially if the water has a high mineral content. Wipe your sink clean with a damp cotton cloth using a mild dish soap or cleaning agent.
Although hardstone is a hard material, try to avoid dropping sharp objects into the sink, as this could damage the surface. Do not use water hotter than 60 degrees Celsius. Do not sit or stand on your sink, and do not place very heavy objects on it. Do not allow concentrated bleach, corrosive substances, drain cleaners, etc., to come into contact with the natural stone surface. This will cause discoloration. If this does happen, clean immediately and rinse the sink thoroughly. Bluestone is honed, which means the surface is darker in color than the natural stone’s original hue. This honed top layer will wear down over the years due to use. You will often see fossils millions of years old embedded in this top layer.
